Songs of Experience

The English poet and printer William Blake first published Songs of Experience in 1794, hand-etching and hand-coloring each copy. A collection of 26 short, lyrical poems of the Romantic style, 'Songs of Experience' concerns itself with the darker side of human nature; Themes such as hatred, revenge and evil are explored.
